EDGE GALLERY:  Joan MacDonald has been a member of the Denver cooperative, Edge Gallery, since 1997.  The artist run gallery has been a co-op since 1992 and was a commercial gallery 1989-92.  The gallery is considered an "alternative" gallery and shows innovative and cutting "edge" works from its twenty-two full members and eleven associate members.

New Work:  For the past three years the artist has been living  in the foothills about 1 hour west of Denver.  Prior to that she lived in Denver for about twenty years.  The new location has inspired MacDonald to write about her new "mountain woman" existence which is also inspiring some new art around this theme.  Look for her next show at Edge Gallery that opens November 7, 2008. 7-10 PM
